About
With Chris Nowling Inspection Services, LLC, you are choosing certified professionals who provide high-quality home inspection services to the Central TX/Austin area. We take great pride in doing a thorough job and going beyond our clients’ expectations.
Our home inspection experience is inclusive. We encourage you to join us at the end of the inspection to thoroughly go over the report. Having you with us at the end of the inspection also gives us an opportunity to provide you with tips on home care and maintenance. For instance, you can learn how to change the furnace filter, turn off the water, gas, and electricity in an emergency.
A home inspection is valuable, but unless the experience is well-documented, most people won’t remember all the important details. That’s why we provide a comprehensive written report to serve as your guide for as long as you own the home. It not only describes the house components and their condition, but also provides insight into what improvements will be necessary, and when.
Our report can also help you set up a home maintenance program to take care of one of the most significant investments most people make. Our goal is to ensure that you can live safely, comfortably, and efficiently in your new home.

About Chris Nowling

(12) Years of construction experience as a 2nd generation Home Builder- General Contractor- Framing Contractor.
In 1989 Chris attended the American Inspectors Institute and obtained his Texas Real Estate Commission Professional Inspector License. In 1992 Chris became licensed by the Texas Structural Pest Control Board.
In 2008 Chris attended and completed with Infrared Cameras Inc. a certification course for Thermal Imaging. In 2009 Chris received the ASNT Level 1 Thermographer Certification.
In 2011 Chris became a Certified Member of the "International Association of Certified Home Inspectors".
In 2016 Chris became a "Certified Master Inspector".
In 2019 Chris became a licensed "small Unmanned Aircraft Pilot".
Industry Experience
In 1993 Chris attained Code Certification through the (SBCCI) Southern Building Code Congress International for One & Two Family Dwellings. This certification is much more difficult to attain than the Texas Real Estate Commission license. The test for this certification requires passing a 4 section exam (Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, & Electrical). 8 hours are provided for the exam. If the inspector fails one section the entire exam must be taken again. Few home inspectors have this certification.
As part of Texas Real Estate Commission licensing act I am required to complete at least 16 hrs of continuing education every year. After 25 years that is a lot of continuing education in all phases of construction that includes keeping up with industry standards and new products on the market.
Chris has performed in excess of 11,000 home inspections in the Central Texas Region. With more than 30 years of combined construction and inspection experience you can be assured that you have someone that understands buildings from the inside out. The experience he has comes from both sides of the transaction. He has been a contractor and dealt with contractors. This experience helps Chris educate his Clients about their purchase. In the inspection industry it is easy to "scare" people, it is much more difficult to "educate" them.
Inspections are conducted in accordance with Texas Real Estate Commission Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. Copies of these are available at https://www.trec.texas.gov/sites/default/files/pdf-forms/SOP-pocket.pdf. Client participation is encouraged as this is a valuable time for exchange of information between the client and the inspector.
